As it turns out, the code has a real solution.

The question on the left side of the card is the riddle, "What does a liar do when he's dead?"

I'll leave out the answer to avoid spoiling it. :)

The answer to a riddle is an interesting take on the Zodiac card for this movie.

The original card though was probably a skeleton key.

That is why I thought it would make a good response to Dr. DCB Marsh's challenge and would also explain Tahoe27s find.

Keys being the Tim Holt comics to unlock the door.
People who say it cannot be done should not interrupt those who are doing it.
We don't have to be right about every single detail.

50 years on and the mythology of the Zodiac lives on in Hollywood. Almost as if he got what he wanted.

I am going to bet it's Court of Owls now I have seen the trailer. If this is the case, then this is quite simply the best Batman story arc since The Long Halloween. Scott Snyder did an excellent job on this series.

Along the lines of the cards Zodiac mailed.

Several articles, at the time, referred to the first letter containing 408 cipher (1 of 3) being mailed to Gibson publications (Aka Vallejo Times Herald).

Zodiac then mails a “jesters” dripping pen card manufactured by Gibson card company with the next cipher 340.

Zodiac mails the Halloween card manufactured by Gibson card company. Some believe this is the key to the 340.

Probably a bunch of Gibson coincidences. But Ken Mains does not believe in coincidences. :D
