This turned up on eBay:

The Murder Casebook - Investigations into the Ultimate Crime. Issue 116 - Visions of Murder - Henrey Lee Lucas and the Zodiac Killer - A psychopath who confessed and an unknown visionary claimed dozens of lives. published in 1992 by Marshall Cavendish. Intact with no pages missing, and in very good condition.

" Henry Lee Lucas was arrested for a minor offence and while in police custody confessed to more than 350 murders, many of which he committed with his partner in crime, Ottis Toole. The authorities subsequentiy confmed at least 150 of these crimes. Both were tried, convicted and sentenced to death." The magazine covers the key events of this ultimate crime: Light of Confession, Multiple Murders, Killing for Fun, Enter the Zodiac & Final Slaying, each with photographs and narrative. Some pictures may be upsetting due to their nature.

Anyone have a copy or is willing to buy one? I'm just curious what his connection to the Zodiac Killer case is.

I screen captured the index of that book and it looks to me like there were probably just parallels being made, not that Lucas could have been Zodiac.

Lucas did say something like that, yep.
In none of the info I've ever read on him did he venture out to California. It wouldn't surprise me to hear that he'd claimed a Zodiac crime or two at some point, though. They did call him "the Confession Killer" after all....
Can anyone seriously consider him as writing the letters btw? Think he may have been a fan of Groucho and the Mikado? I rather think not. *shrug*

Interestingly, Governor George W. Bush commuted Lucas' death sentence to life in prison in 1998.
"If, after I depart this vale, you ever remember me and have thought to please my ghost, forgive some sinner and wink your eye at some homely girl."
