Pine Street Magazine Shop

Discussion of Zodiac Victim Paul Stine

Pine Street Magazine Shop

Postby Chaucer » Mon Aug 12, 2019 7:58 am

I finally watched the episode of Very Scary People on the Zodiac.

One thing that struck me was when Greysmith claimed that Zodiac was "outside of Pine Street Magazine Shop which is on Geary" before hailing Stine's cab.

First, I was always under the impression that Zodiac called for the cab on the phone rather than hailing one down.

Second, this is the first I have heard of this "Pine Street Magazine Shop".

Third, how could a store on Pine Street be on Geary? Those two streets run parallel to one another.

Can you someone smarter than me shed some light?

Consider the source, I say.

Well, that was certiainly my initial thought, but here's the thing that chaps my ass about this case.

So many "experts" or even amateurs like myself go on TV, podcasts, etc. and spout pure nonesense and misleading information and THERE"S NEVER ANY PUSHBACK. Someone should have screamed from the hilltops - YOU"RE FULL OF BLEEEEEP, ROBERT!

At this point, he's just making stuff up as he goes along right?

I maybe wrong but don't remember that Greysmith even mention Pine Street Magazine in either of his books on Zodiac. He is getting up there in age and maybe he is confuse with his Jack The Ripper book he wrote. Or most likely his book about Bob Crane.

Precisely. That's why I was so confused. I have never heard that location ever mentioned before. And he literally said it was located on Geary. Except Geary and Pine Street run parallel to one another, so that would be impossible.

I really question why he says the stuff he says. Is he mentally confused? A liar? Stupid?

Moreover, has the precise pick up point ever been established? Corner of Mason and Geary is what you hear most mentioned, but I have heard it was actually outside the Westin hotel near there.

Pretty sure Zodiac just walked up to the cab and got in it.
