Victims DOB and Zodiac signs...all different Zodiac signs !

So all 10 victims (3 of the only possible victims) are different Zodiac signs except Bryan and Betty, both Cancer,
however Betty was born in those 24 hours when Cancer switches to Lion, so she is a "Cancer Leo cusp" which is in a way also a Lion.
Kind of interesting that they are almost all different Zodiac signs, a coincident?
Who knows, after all...he called himself The Zodiac.

It is interesting, but I think it's just luck of the draw...so-to-speak. Could he have been that lucky that the couples had the signs he sought and if he knew them, even luckier?!

Same as the New York Zodiac, they thought he was killing/attacking to Zodiac signs, but it was considered luck.
What about Hood/Garcia, who are more relevant to the Zodiac timeline than Domingos/Edwards.

So, 9 out of 10 of the victims have different Zodiac signs. I did the math (someone please check it!), and the odds that this would happen by chance seem to be around 1 in 78.

The probability is equal to the number of ways to assign 9 (out of 12) different zodiac signs to 9 people, divided by the total number ways to assign 12 different zodiac signs among 10 people.

There are "12 choose 9" ways to pick 9 different Zodiac signs (or, 220 different sets of 9 unique Zodiac signs, see them here).
You pick one of those sets, and assign each sign to 9 out of the 10 people (you can force the 10th to have a duplicate sign).
So, the number of ways to assign the set is 10*9*8*7*6*5*4*3*2 = 3,628,800.
Thus, the number of ways to pick and assign 9 different Zodiac signs among 10 people is: 220 times 3,628,800 = 798,336,000.

The total ways to assign 12 signs among 10 people is: 12 raised to the 10th power = 61,917,364,224.

Thus the probability that 9 out of 10 victims would have different signs is: 798,336,000/61,917,364,224 = 1.3% or about a 1 in 78 chance.

Very interesting indeed.
If I were working the case back in the day, I would have had to investigate the victims signs----just for the simple fact he called himself the Zodiac. I wonder if LE did go down that avenue--if nothing else but to rule it out.

Not impossible, if Zodiac worked at or had access within some kind of :
municipality office
police
driving license office
taxoffice
etc.

In places like that there are records of peoples birthday etc.
