Interesting stuff about the possible Kane post, and the 1997 message. Thanks for all the responses. After asking the question I did more searching and found this on Websleuths about someone going by TAAM responding to a youtube video, claiming to be a part of a team zodiac:

Looks like it has been discussed somewhat already, but in case anyone else hadn't seen it.

Take a look at this thread at Zodiackiller.com, which Zodiac researcher Mike Kelleher started back in the early 2000's to obtain opinions as to whether Zodiac was dead or alive. There are a number of strange replies there from people who never posted anywhere else on the site ever again; some of those replies make me wonder.

Yes, some odd ones near the end. I liked the one where the poster thought D.B Cooper was called Debbie Cooger then referred to him as a HIM? wtf?

I've just found the page for you that I told you about regarding Kane supposedly posting under the name 'Doziac'. Here a link to it...

I should state for the record that I do not claim that I know the comments written by the user 'Doziac' we really written by Larry Kane. By posting the link, I do not want people to assume I even believe Kane was responsible for the comments written by a user calling himself 'Doziac'. I have no concrete belief either way. I wouldn't say I believe it is him, but I wouldn't say I don't either. Before I would be willing to say I believe it was, I would need someone to find the IP address and conclusively show and prove the person commenting was doing so from an IP address liked to the area of Zephyr Cove.

Well sure... that thread title could stimulate Zodiac to respond if he was lurking but I think it is also an invitation for cryptic posts from hoaxsters motivated to make people question if they are Zodiac. Idiots like that have, unfortunately, never been in short supply.

entropy, I totally agree with you. It's a lot suspicious when that many new posters sign on trying to make you think they are the Z. I've heard that there's some people/posters with multiple posting names. If you look at some posters writing style & verbiage you can figure out who they are. You would think they would have better things to accomplish.

Well I can state categorically that I only post as Welsh Chappie on this site, and any other comments I make around the net. Either that or as myself as 'Alex Lewis'. If I have something to say about something, I don't feel I would need to do so while concealing who I am to say it. (Just making this point incase the above statement was in anyway referring to me) :-)

There was a poster on Tom's site named "Oscar" who reminded me (and others) a lot of Richard Gaikowski. He mentioned having a lot of journalism/editing experience and often expressed anti-police sentiment. He claimed to have been born in 1969 but seemed way too knowledgeable about stuff happening back then for it to be true.

I agree drew, Oscar was very interesting & I thank you for bringing his posts to my attention. And there's a few others that catch my eye now & then and I ponder.....
Sometimes I see posters with a post that grabs my attention....once there was this poster at Tom's Site. He made only a few posts but I noticed something that matched one of my theories & I sent him a PM and sure enough I was right. I honestly don't think anyone else even noticed. He posted for a month or so and then that was it.
