Soze, Joie Chitwood had a Dare Devil/Thrill show.

Soze I looked through Newspaper Archive to see if I could find that Joie Chitwood advertised a thrill show in California in 1968 or 1969. I did not find that he did. What I did find is that Montgomery Wards had ads in June, August and November of 1966 in many California newspapers featuring Chitwood saying that he only used RIVERSIDE tires on his cars.

I'm back! Found this article for a Thrill Show at the Alameda County Fair July 13, 1969. The article is dated July 11 but the show was on the last day of the fair, July 13.

Thank you Seagull for your time and posts. Will take some time to dig into Chitwood to see how it might relate to what I am working as his son shares the same name. But what I have looked into, specifically hell riders, seems promising. The ad you posted about the fair seems to be about the hell riders even though they only named one in particular.

In any of your finds, did you happen to notice a particular promoter for the other event? I see Hannah for the fair event.
