Apparently some witness seen somebody running across Julius Kahn Playgroundon the night of the Stine murder. Does anyone know if this was ever confirmed, including who (witness) it was and where it fits in the timeframe?

As far as I know, this has never been confirmed. This FBI document has never been expleined...

Eight year old witness.gif

Speculation is that the eight year old in question in the above doc. was one of the three 'Teen' witnesses. But that doesn't seem likely because the Police report states "The reportee, together with two other witnesses ________, age 14 and _________, age 13..." So, the report doesn't mention the age of the third witness and simply refers to him as 'The Reportee' aka the person who called 911.

The possibility of this eight year old being the third member of the three that witnessed and reported the crime is unlikely because the three are always refered to as the 'Three Teen Witnesses', and so an eight year old wouldn't fit that description. Also, the three teens, as far as I am aware, are known to have been 14, 13 (as mentioned in the report), and the third aged 16.

I figured as much, I was just hoping that it might have came to light somewhere in recent times. It's something I've always been suspicious about. i.e I wonder if the person (suspect) ever existed.

What seems important to me is the report suggests the child (whatever age) recognized the person either in a photo lineup or by personal knowledge and that person had a last name consisting of seven or nine letters.

If there was a way in which we could determine if the man named in this document is deceased now, then privacy laws can be waved and we could send a FOI Request to the FBI asking for this man's name to be made known to the public.

I'd say six to seven..you can count them with the line above..I like the idea of asking FBI about it. Is there any information about who had lived in this house at that time? SF phone book?

QT, I don't have access to any California cross-references directories. Sorry.

I did count the letters in the redacted name and I came up with seven-to-nine individual letters. You came up with six or seven. I guess we can go with seven. 8-) Whose name would fit?

All the addresses with names of the residents in Presidio Heights. The first column is Washington Street, I forgot to mark that one.

Thanks for posting Seagull.

I notice 2 different "Owen"s, and an Anthony Griffin---got me thinking of Raymond Griffin...the LB suspect who was out on leave from Napa State.
