Speculation is that the eight year old in question in the above doc. was one of the three 'Teen' witnesses. But that doesn't seem likely because the Police report states "The reportee, together with two other witnesses ________, age 14 and _________, age 13..." So, the report doesn't mention the age of the third witness and simply refers to him as 'The Reportee' aka the person who called 911.
The possibility of this eight year old being the third member of the three that witnessed and reported the crime is unlikely because the three are always refered to as the 'Three Teen Witnesses', and so an eight year old wouldn't fit that description. Also, the three teens, as far as I am aware, are known to have been 14, 13 (as mentioned in the report), and the third aged 16.

What seems important to me is the report suggests the child (whatever age) recognized the person either in a photo lineup or by personal knowledge and that person had a last name consisting of seven or nine letters.

I'd say six to seven..you can count them with the line above..I like the idea of asking FBI about it. Is there any information about who had lived in this house at that time? SF phone book?
