So imagine the majority of blood being on your left side, which side of Jackson Road would you walk where this would be less visible to traffic, the north side of Jackson St. It may explain why as Fouke and Zelms approached, he motioned to his left side and feinted to walk up the 3712 Jackson St stairwell, to shield the blood transfer. Also Fouke described him as having a lumbering gait, like a semi-limp. Had he exited the moving car at Washington and Maple, he may possibly have jarred his ankle or knee, explaining the limp saw by Fouke. So the answer basically, is to face the visible blood away from oncoming vehicle or police headlights, otherwise there was no other reason for him to have crossed over this early onto Jackson St.
Very interesting theory, and indeed plausible too.

I am not against the idea however, and before he passed away, Ken Narlow said he would be glad to come on the show if I got it going
