It would have been interesting to know exactly what he said.

I suspect that the Oklahoma City newspaper has a more detailed article on the call but their newspaper is not at any of the usual archive sites. I should explore ways to try to get the article.

I found only one other article, from the Lodi News-Sentinel:

doranchak, thanks for posting that. It is a more detailed article than the Chronicle article I got and it's much easier to read, too! I'm posting it, in case it disappears.

Wow, that sucks. How do they not even take a chance of getting that tape of the show offeredup by the station, and have Hartnell, Slover & Slaight listen to it? :x

Well and if it was a true Z call it might have come from Fairfield :p

Nevertheless it fits perfectly into his Dec 69 activities.

Unfortunately, pretty much anything that fits into Zodiac's known activity schedule can also fit into the schedule of likely hoaxsters, who usually appear out of the woodwork when Zodiac is in the news. It's honestly the communications that appear out of the blue when Z is not on the front page that I generally find more interesting than most.

In this case, he supposedly left California "because it got too hot for me" in order to offer commentary on Oklahoma City traffic safety, then returned to SF to resume the taunting campaign less than two weeks later. I find it only slightly more interesting than Oklahoma City P.D. apparently did. I think I've said before that guys like Zodiac need to receive a specialized taunting license will a unique verification code for each call and letter. I think this needs to be legislatively proposed post haste.

Sounds good entropy! And while we're at it, let's add that NO news media will be allowed to publish the majority of actual letters from said perps.

After going through all of those letters Seagull so graciously found, I found it quite irresponsible they published SO many, with such details. A blurb here and there; one letter..or maybe just the code. But geesh...I think they went a bit overboard.

If so much info was NOT shared, it would be easier to determine if guys like this were the real deal.
