No mention of his Zodiac related articles. Probably a good thing.

I wonder who will get their hands ALL of his Zodiac stuff.

All I know of him is his Zodiac articles--I have no idea how he was as a human being, but it's sad to read how he ended up in his later years.

I know that Wrench bought some of Martin's Zodiac stuff and then later sold it to Mike Martin.

Wow, this is ironic......I posted this morning about Harry Martin being mentioned by Albert Cardwell in a thread about Letters to the editor, and then a few hours later, he's being reported as dead. Odd timing for sure.

I known Wrench/Bentley did get a lot of Harry's old stuff. I wish Bentley would come out of retirement. Beyond Zodiac stuff, I was worried about him because he never answered any of my personal emails, and we used to email back n forth pretty regularly

Bentley provided us with the Harry Martin stuff(or so I thought?)maybe on the old forum, or maybe he mailed it to me......ARGHHH...I can't remember. Anybody know if it's on the old site? Maybe we could carry it over and make a thread here about Harry Martin's stuff?

I don't know...my husband and I were just outside Susanville, CA driving down the highway. We could see something odd up ahead, but couldn't tell what it was. As we got closer, it was a solid black helicopter flying directly above about five solid black SUV's and cars. Right down the highway headed in the direction of Reno. Was the strangest thing we had ever seen. Very XFiles-ish. So who knows....Harry might not be mistaken! :suspect:

Peaked my interest enough to go surfing. Couldn't find anything corroborating Harry's claims. Looks like the Google Earth people have been trying to find the base.

LOL I have seen the black helicopters in Napa County near the area where Harry is talking about! Really. I do not know if they were going into a cave on the Oakville Grade but did see them flying around there many times. Between 1979 and 1990 I lived near the top of Mount Veeder which over looks the Napa Valley from the west. Mount Veeder Road and Dry Creek Road run parallel and in between is Pickle Canyon. That canyon is where we saw the helicopters going in and out of, I know it sounds wacky. There is nothing but rugged woodland in Pickle Canyon and I have no idea why the helicopters would be there.

Travis Air Force base is 30+/- miles east of the area and it was surmised by those who lived on Mount Veeder that the Air Force was doing some kind of training maneuvers. I don't think that there was any UFO or conspiracy things going on!!!

Very nice area, I get up there a couple of times a year on rides. Trinity, Mt Veeder, Dry Creek and Oakville grade. You shoulda stayed there.

Harry seems to have dug up a lot of info on the matter, funny no one else covered the story. Similar to the Z case, he's great at sniffing around and gathering data, it's what he makes of it that comes to question. I don't doubt the helicopter sightings, but an underground military installation should have come to light by now. Lots of expensive homes and wineries built up there in the last two decades.

I wish I could have stayed there Bentley. We rented at that time and the landlord's son wanted our house so we had to move.

There is a site that mentions the alleged base on Oakville Grade. Where they got their information is unknown and the info is minimal. Scroll down to California and it's #16.

Is it just me, or does anyone else agree that the handwriting of thise letters kind of resemble som of the the
Zodiac's handwriting, as fex. the Citizen letter ?

Reading thise Harry Matins letters so many times made me think of the handwriting of the Zodiac writing.

Yes, it does resemble Z's writing, lots of low crossed ts and falling over ds. I'm not certain who wrote all that. Dave Peterson, the Vallejo reporter, wrote a lot of things to Harry, plus he had a couple of others digging for him. I posted a lot more hand written pages on other forums, some of it signed, not sure how much is still there. The ks are different and unique.

I do have copies of Harry Martin's publications as provide by Wrench, but at this time don't feel comfortable posting it since it was provided in a private email. If anyone talks to him and he gives the ok...I'll post it.

I'm pretty sure this Oct 2013 obit, of a Robert E Hunter Jr, is connected to Harry Martin's suspect, however I'm not 100% sure if this is the actual suspect (he was born 1922) or the suspect's father:
I tend to believe it is the actual suspect, due to that it was stated by HM, in one of his articles, that his suspects father died March 28, 1971.
