Interesting article. I'm still of the opinion that far more people have been killed by Zodiac impersonators and wannabes than by Zodiac himself. Not to say that these people wouldn't have killed regardless but they certainly found Zodiac's notoriety appealing, which perhaps influenced the choices they made. He might have been a less attractive role model behind bars.

So is that symbol at the bottom of the two letters supposed to be the "cross like symbol" that reminded investigators of Zodiac? Yes, the killing as a game sounds a lot like Zodiac but I don't necessarily see any indication that he was purposely emulating Zodiac here.
Stunning stuff from a 14 year-old though. Wow...

The symbol appears to be a crosshairs combined with a swastika. Its superficial resemblance to Z's symbol, combined with the kid's attention-seeking campaign, certainly make you wonder how similar this kid's motivations were to Zodiac's, and if they can be detected in people in advance of their terrible crimes.
