AK WILKS, I bought the Kindle edition a few minutes before I came here to see if anyone else was reading it. I'm hoping to get some work finished so I can turn in early and start reading it tonight.

You don't need a Kindle to device to read Kindle books. You can read them with Kindle apps on any Android or iOS device. I usually read them on my iPhone. You can also read them on any computer with a web browser using what Amazon calls the Kindle Cloud Reader, which is just a website.

There's one thing you need to know about Kindle books if you have an iPhone. You can't buy them through the iPhone version of the Amazon app or Kindle app. You have to make the purchase from the Amazon website. Once you pay for the Kindle book you can read it on any device, including the iPhone.

You're welcome. BTW, Amazon has a free sample of the Kindle version.

Curious,
Has anyone finished reading the book? And is there any new findings? As AK & Doug, seem to have found the most research on Ted K. Too bad they didn’t write a book on their research. Did Mark H. Use any of AK’s & Doug’s research findings? And if so, did they get credit? I’m a firm believer in giving credit, where it is due.

PS: Yes Ted’s younger photos, resemble the Z composite. The ones AK posted above!

Zam think you are great but really Ted compares to the Zodiac sketch and you can see it ? Zodiac sketch has him with a very small nose. Then you got Ted looking like Karl Malden with his huge nose. Sorry I see no comparison in my opinion. Not to mention other facial features aren't close. Again my opinion.

I'm 18% of the way through the book according to Kindle. I haven't seen anything yet, but so far the book has covered the early years of his life through his years as a UC Berkeley professor and talked a bit about his life as a hermit. It hasn't gotten into the meat of the evidence.

As far photos and images, I skipped through the book and saw about three dozen. The majority are pictures of text - Z letters, journal entries, closeups of handwritten words to compare handwriting. I'm really surprised there aren't more photos. Nothing from AK and Doug.

I searched for the word "hood" to see if there was any reference to theory their about the hood found in TK's cabin and didn't find anything.

I did find a novel theory about the hood. Hewitt thinks the square top is supposed to represent the mortarboard (the cap in a cap and gown) seen at a graduation ceremony, which would reflect TK's life as a scholar. It's possible the squared top was made from a mortarboard.

Is Doug Oswell from unazod.com credited anywhere in the book? He came up with the mortarboard idea 20 years ago or more.

I'll be darned. I didn't know that. I searched for Wilks and got zero hits. (I don't know if that's a real name or not.) A search for Oswell found one mention:

Neither the FBI nor the California Department of Justice, nor any local police department ever formally cleared Kacynski of any of the Zodiac crimes. A few stalwart armchair detectives, such as Douglas Oswell, continued to seek connections between Kacynski and the Zodiac.

Well that's rather disappointing to not give credit where it is due.

Here’s a link to Doug Oswell’s Book on Ted K.
Pretty cheap now, through Kindle, written a few years back.
Has anyone read it? Some good book reviews, by the old time Z posters, researchers.
The Motarboard Hood Reference might be on an old forum? Be nice if we could find it?

Hey, Stitch Mallone, thanks for the compliment, a few posts above. I just said resembled. I have my own theory on the Z being a Vallejo guy.
