Trust me. The priest filled out the form. Been looking at his writing for a week.

That's the first thing I wrote when I saw it. Seems like a given someone else would have filled that out. An application? Sure. The certificate? Not so much.

It will be nice to see the other certificates that will surely eventually be shown.

Zodiac = Edward Fliger  No...not really.

Pretty spooky I have to say. Some of the characters are :o  .

There are however some things that look like habits that I don't see reflected in Z's writing and I would expect to. Still, it's in the right ballpark stylewise. It certainly looks like we could have a field day finding matches for quite a few of the single characters. That, a fair comparison doesn't make ... I'm afraid.

Would need to try and match up whole words, especially when there are similarities because we want to be as sure as we can be. In doing that you are also checking line flow and word relationships. Another level to check.

EDIT: Ahhhh I was wondering ... just noticed in the PDF title that he DOES have a middle name. That makes 13 characters. For some zync.

Hi-

Well, unless there were some mysterious forces at work that day, I don't think we have to be concerned with the priest being the Z. You mean that coincidentally, the guy who married the guy who is supposed to be Z actually became Z?

I believe the similarities between Fliger and Z prove that there are some people whose handwriting resembles Z's. It is kind of spooky, though.

Fliger would be 100 yrs old, so we can quickly squash any discussion of him being Z,although I think Trav meant his writing, coinicidentally looked like z

Yup.

I had cited Bob Dylan as an example of that in the past. I was gonna add last night "any obvious reason this guy can't be Z?" but it was late, so I didn't. As morf says it was just the writing and I was kinda speaking theoretically, i.e if we were to be looking at this guy and his writing as possible. It is spooky though, as you say and you are correct in saying. I see plenty of 'similar' examples all the time, really similar sometimes but this is a great example of 'spooky' to have as a comparison source. It's got some quite interesting characters in there and I might have to do a quick comp at some point to show them because it helps (I think) when looking at exemplars that are potentially viable.

That's why I've been working on comparing Z's own writing to itself. To identify as many of the habits that make it unique so that when we are faced with samples like this and we don't have any other info to easily rule a person out, we can hopefully still reach a reasonable conclusion or ... a well earned inconclusive lol.
