Again, I'm very early on in the book, but it's stated that he imported books from Mexico or something along those lines. I will have to double check, I know it was Mexico because I immediately thought of the Lee/Mexico talk from the BRS reports

Also at thw Lake Berryessa murder Zodiac said he was on his way to Mexico.

In school, Best told his Friend about an 'asian slave box', and told his friend that he believed some cultures collected the souls of their slaves for the afterlife in those kind of boxes. He told his Friend that he would like to 'collect one of his own', and would walk down the halls and point to a girl,and say "she'd make a good one, don't you think" (meaning slave)

pretty interresting guy, I really hope he is the right guy!

When Avery wrote the story, Best was furious because he felt Avery had portrayed him as some dirty low down child molestor.

Avery later dubbed their affair, "the Ice Cream Romance"

In the early 60's his Brother Rufus lived in Meridian, Miss. thats the only Miss. reference so far
