This guy is creepy. I have a 14 year old niece and the thought of someone like this guy? Makes me sick.

Now adays, seems like this kind of Guy would be lucky to live to see jail, alot of fathers would snuff this guy out.

I am listening to the 10 hour (yes 10 hour) audio book version of this. Some interesting stuff. Earl, whose Father was a christian missionary in Japan, was exposed to Japanese culture. His Father brought him to se ethe play The Mikado

Best used to devise codes & ciphers, and challenge his Father to break them. I am learning this as I listen to the audio book. If true, this is all pretty interesting

Here is an Earl Van Best who died Aug 10 1974.

Seems like he was a diplomat, or am I wrong?

If he was a diplomat, and was a family member of The suspect EVB, could that be why Gary L Stewart claim that police new more than they are saying? Could police have known but didn´t want the scandal or somthing like that?

Morf does the book say where Earl Best died? He is not in the CA Death Index so I'm thinking he died in a different state. Since he was only 50 years old when he died, I'd be curious to know how he died. Suicide perhaps???

It's slow going. I am very early on in the 10 hour book, no word on his death yet. His father,SR, lived & died in Indiana, maybe he moved there???
