Upside-down, the only double in the 340 looks like a pair of different, but equally valid, characters. Ho ho ho....

For almost 50 years now, this cipher has frustrated the living daylights out of many a cryptologist, or Cipher-code-eologist's I dnt mind re-affirming that I know next to nothing when it comes to the art of cryptography and the Ciphers. But, can I assume that 99% of the amateur cipher sleuths have been trying to decipher the encrypted text (If there is a message, that is) using their own natural assumption that we, as English speaking people, assume the code must be written from left to right? I only bring the point up because the "My Name Is" line of encrypted text/anagram is written in the Yiddish/Jewish layout and seems to read from right to left.
Again, if that has been attempted dozens of time's already then I apologise for bringing up the suggestion. As I said, I know absolutely nothing about deciphering Ciphers and purposely avoid them because I get frustrated enough with the things that I can clearly see in this case. The Ciphers would drive me nuts personally lol.

Now what have I said about keeping this quite. I mean I have already had a few people interrogate me and i'm sure suspected I was "HIM'. I mean I have an air tight alibi to counter such claims......
'Yes I am likely to be the Zodiac with my being born in the year 1982." Issue the warrant for my immediate arrest now! Lol.
Not but going bk to the Cipher, there was an indication that the My Name Is line of code may have been written in the Jewish or Yiddish format of writing fro right to left on a page rather than the Western way of left to right.

I've saved that amazingly cool typewriterification tool for future lame cipher posts. I honestly don't think it's pareidolia. There seem to be a lot of recognizable patterns in the 340 cipher, which I think begs the question of whether they represent some indication of a specific method of construction or whether Zodiac just presented us with a bunch of garbage and purposely threw in patterns and teaser words (HER, GOD, ZODAIK) to make the cipher seem meaningful and solveable. I'm kind of worried that the latter fits his psychology better but who the hell knows?
Yeah, I've thought of those symbols as cues to rotate symbols as the cipher is being read. I still imagine him having a catalogue of each symbol used in four different positions (N, E, S, W) (0, 3 ,6 ,9) (^, >, v, <) and cherry-picking the conversion of each symbol to create meaningful patterns. Does that make sense? Symbols could be rotated after each arrow symbol... or every 4th line or however he chose to do it. FWIW, I'm convinced that his chosen name and chosen symbol are reflected on the construction of the 340 cipher somehow.
Those sections highlighted in the picture posted were also pointed out by a super-computer on a history channel show investigating zodiac.
I have only watched the first episode so far.
