Hang on a second. I put this into my spreadsheet. There is not a spike at period 19 for bigram repeats. However, if you look at the average probability scores, there is indeed a spike at period 19. If you score all of the bigram repeats at each period according to probability, according to how many symbols there are total but for each repeat, and take an average of all scores, then there is a spike at period 19.
Is the original transposition scheme leaking through?!
