It's exactly what I was thinking about But the question is - will it be useful? Does it make sense to do something like that if there are just a couple of active people?

Hard to say. But I imagine being able to browse and rank other solutions would give a social element to the app which might attract more use, especially if users can submit comments on the solutions.

Update is available! It introduces the "Board" where you can upload your solution, and view and import others' ones. To be able to upload and leave likes on solution, you can sign in with Google account. The app doesn't get any of your account information apart from email address, which it uses just to identify users. Well, and obviously, you need an Internet connection to use the Board Also now you can long-press the checkpoint icon to create a custom-named one.

Well, since the Board feature was not of use (and that's quite understandable actually), the app is updated to make use of the server.
Now you can create your own ciphers and import existing ciphers from the CipherBoard. You can then check the solution for the cipher you managed to solve.
I added a couple of ciphers there for a start so feel free to try to crack them =)

P.S. The app is called Zodiac Cipher now as it is not focused solely on the 340-character cryptogram anymore.

The app is called "Zodiac Crypt" now. I don't know how many times I will change the title until I'm satisfied with it, so from now on I'll be just changing the topic title =)
