Hey guys, thanks for trying to solve smokie33. I think that it is very hard. There are 8 poly symbols total cover of 81. I was surprised at how easily you solved smokie32, and it seems that we might have found a threshold for solve ability. I checked the most recent solutions, and do not see any correct words. There are only 37 letters that are correct in Jarlve's recent iteration. I wonder if you are expanding the correct symbols.

Iteration 2 was a little bit better, and I will tell you that the word "happets" had four correct letters. Keep trying, but when you are ready we can compare notes. If you want, I can tell you what symbols are poly. Then see if you can solve it. Or I will show the entire plaintext and key. Or I can give whatever hints that you want. I was able to segregate one poly symbol pretty well.

I have started 2 new tests focusing on the smokie33. Wanted to try something different now, it expands 3 to 5 symbols (with the wildcard intelligence) and it also expands 3 to 5 random symbols on top of that. So it can expand 6 to 10 symbols. One with 6-grams and the other with 7-grams with 32 million iterations.

I have been working on segregation, slowly but surely. Working on identifying certain period x repeat situations and how to score them, in conjunction with cycle scores, to hill climb a close segregation. I am currently working on situations where a new segregated symbol position is a member of multiple period 1-5 repeats, making it more likely to be correct. Will post more later, probably this weekend, on the other thread. Small, paced work chunks.
