@daikon,

I found this about a week ago: http://quipqiup.com/index.php

Try it with:

Code: Select all
TLMGERZYHZCEGEBZREDRYR
ITBYYFPEHEHLEHZHRTFTCR
RYRITFZGIPEHIYFEGTPEHH

It places possible word configurations into a cipher and then ranks them with letter 3-grams. I like the idea.

Message to the Zodiac,

I found this cipher on http://mk-zodiac.com/ or http://mk-zodiac.com/mkcipherone%281of3%29.html

My transciption:

Code: Select all
qirp*WLGuBV+f0Fe\
k#H(cNI-EeT^e)Y.P
dDqYKotZ!LSHp'XYr
IMWFu.k|*(QJ+\0Oo
AitfKe-Ne/QTrR\lq
s!LPeGBS^*!#E)BuD
RZtrd\Fql/p.YtWHX
k|e)Yf+'iYrO!q0q/

I'm not sure if it has been solved previously but here is the solution. There are a few spelling errors.

Update 1: corrected the errors.
Update 2: it seems that it's actually a 3-part message like the 408.
Update 3: full transcription below.

Code: Select all
Spoiler alert!

Hey Mr Jarlve, I can send you some Z340 models that build :?:

My English is poor, something may have escaped me in Zdkrypto. Can be BS, but anyway, I want to share my ideas.
If the answer is no, I will not be upset ok ;)

Sure Marclean, share your ideas.

Here is the whole MK cipher. I have not error-checked but it solves pretty high so it must be okay.

Code: Select all
MZtp!F'XYrG.KPROq

Thank you,
I promise not to "pollute" your topic,
here are some ideas
- I thought the Z340 ordered according to the number of letters (discarding symbolos) both in ascending as descending order or horizontal ,or vertical etc.
The criterion-breaking order is the order in own code
for example:

Code: Select all
RFOCFD  о^Ì-»ÄË>±¢ 6 letters
GJONyL  ¢±ÆÊ·+¸¤¹+¼  6 letters
I

So I kept the order appearing in the code
a model
Code: Select all
MIFP¸¼+¤ÔÊĵ+ˆ³Ë/
GFNVÌ^Ƶ±³Â•óÔ++
SVORKÐн^̾»´Ð++±
RFOCFDо^Ì-»ÄË>±¢
GJONyL¢±ÆÊ·+¸¤¹+¼
uVJOFB-¤Ì+^+н<Ÿ-
SNIFBR¤°¼Ÿ·+µÃ¢ƒ¾
IBKOMGÕ´¤¢Ð^•Æѱ
NBODWyKÐ+¢·º•<»Æ£
KuXGVLI·µ+Ѻƒ±Ã•¤
MZRFBAKÄ<+Â+±ÃŸ°³
RJITMBF±<ÃÌ»µ³•+ˆ
BXCEVuZŸ²»„³¼>µ-+
WCWPOSHT++£¤Ã/¢£Ð
IFWByOBCËÄ<½Ô»-¸Ã
HERVPILTG>ÐÌ^˲±Ä
BMuZGWLHJŸ„Ã+¢£·¤
RTLCFWBILÃ+²°<+Ì£
MDHNSZOAIK>Ðˤ¾ƒ+
uREIDyBTMKO+/µÔÐÂ

I also models with even and odd (letters) that later, will post, without polluting reiterate, more put some things

I suppose someone must have already tried it, but anyway ...

again grateful :D

Marcelo

Marclean,

I gave it an honest look and it doesn't solve. Are you using Google translate or do you know enough English to get by?

Unfortunately my English is bad, yes, I use translator.
This really is a barrier to more. (Unless the Z340 is in Spanish, Portuguese or Latin) :lol:
Okay, well, thanks for analysis mr Jarlve :D

Marcelo.

The funny thing is, it spells out a Russian swear word in the last line. Not in it's neutral form (Russian is a highly inflected language: many words change depending on the form, and not by just adding a simple suffix/ending, like in English), and it's just a 3-letter word, so it can certainly happen by chance. Kind of goes to show that even supposedly unlikely coincidences can happen by pure chance.

@daikon,

I've always felt that the ZO^AIK = ZODIAC thing is overly ambiguous. But hey, who knows. :)

There also GYKE in the 408.

I apologize for asking a very off topic question, but I find it very exciting that we are all working together from different parts of the world. I grew up before the internet existed, and think that this new way that we have to communicate with each other is really amazing. It is a great time to live.

Daikon, if you don't mind me asking, where abouts are you? Are you in the U.S., Europe, Russia, or somewhere else? You don't have to answer if you don't want to. But I have been wondering about where you are for several months now.
