Please.

I looked for the letter that was sent to RPD but all I could find was a DOJ report which transcribes the letter. At the beginning of the page it describes how the letter was found, too.

And here is the letter that was sent to the newspaper.

I'm a little confused, Deb. The letter pictured with the press envelope is not the one you claim is the press letter. That's why I assumed the yellowish pic is the one that was sent to RPD.

I still think this is a major find by Seagull. Not that if we ever see the envelope, it will reveal something earth shattering, but rather that somehow, this was overlooked all these years by everybody. Thanks for always looking with fresh eyes Seagull. This proves that it always pays to go back and review this case with fresh eyes.

Not to take away from Deb, but this has been discussed previously...

Maybe, 'forgotten about' is a better phrase.

Regardless of which is which, the point I was trying to make is that the versions were indeed different. The one I had assumed was the Press version (because it is pictured with the Press envelope) is not easy to read. This is the best I got...

Again, very difficult to confirm, but in the blurry version, the author seems to have spelled "victim" as either "victom" or "victon" (the DOJ transcription reads "victon"). Now where have I seen it incorrectly spelled with an "o" before? Hmmmm...

It is very hard to tell but it does appear that something other than the correct spelling might be happening there. From the blurred shapes and assuming it's not an 'I' spacing 'looks' to suggest 'VICTON' rather than 'VICTOM'. This makes sense in a weird way because N-M is a very common or 'commin' :P typing mistake given their proximity to each other. Actually I-O is the same. Maybe he didn't have much light in his basement in the shadow of his death machine.
