My Name is....Jack the Ripper

**There is no doubt in my mind that Zodiac was influenced by Jack the Ripper...or at least the letter writer.**

My name is: Jack the Ripper (13 symbols) - 1888 (three circled 8's)

Also in this letter below (whether really from Jack or not)...the writer states "don't mind me giving the trade name". Basically telling us he is picking "his name". Reminds me of Zodiac not being fond of "Cipher Slayer".

And of course Zodiac uses "NAM" at the end of his "My name is" cipher - see above.

Also, "Yours truly". (Received Sept 27, 1888) - "yours truly and Sept 27"

The attack at Lake Berryessa--so vicious. I can't help but think of JTR, especially having read the above letter, dated Sept. 27th. And of course "by knife"

Weird, I was just thinking about this too.

How about this one:

"I think you are all asleep in Scotland-yard with your bloodhounds..."

"The dogs never came within 2 blocks of me..."

Wow -- I knew this, but never connected the two before. That is unsettling. I wonder if there is more?

Could Z be Jack the Ripper re-incarnated?

I think we must seriously consider that Jack left London's West End in early 1889 and relocated to San Francisco, California. He then had a customary 'cooling off period' that all Serial killers have. London's Jack cooled off in San Francisco for 82 years. Then, on Dec 20, 1968, Jack's one hundred and twenty third birthday, he decided he must resume his spree under a new identity.

Makes perfect sense to me. The only problem with this theory is, quite obvious and noticeable to everyone I would think, and that is the huge difference between Jack taking part of his victims kidney in order to mail back to the press as 'proof' and Zodiac only dissected Paul's shirt for his proof of claim. That's the main and most obvious problem with Jack being Zodiac, but other than that, everything fit's like a size 7 glove.

Zodiac can't be Jack the Ripper. Z wrote that he had 'always been there', with Jack that wasn't the case. :geek:
