Bus bomb diagrams - A map?
In 2010, I realized the Zodiac’s Exorcist letter symbols were locations on a map of the North Bay area. Not long after, I wondered if the same could be true regarding the bus bomb diagrams of 11-9-1969 and 4-20-70. The following post comes from a blog I created in October of 2010 regarding this curiosity. I have edited the original post only slightly. If you would like to view the original post, it can be found at https://decipherzodiac.wordpress.com/
If you take all of the drafting and technical fluff surrounding both the 11-9-69 and 4-20-70 diagrams and completely discard them, the diagrams below are what you have to work with.
Having gone over the street map of San Francisco on many occasions, I immediately thought I recognized that the timer and bombs were both sections of San Francisco:
The individual bombs (5 total) represent the following streets in Anza Vista: Anzavista Ave, Barcelona Ave, Encanto Ave, Fortuna Ave and Baker St.
Since I am viewing the bomb diagrams as locations on a map, and beginning with the 11-9-69 diagram, my assumption would be that the mirrors are the streets Arguello Blvd and Stanyan Street between, Geary and Fulton. The junction box for the wires would be St. Mary’s Medical Center located at 450 Stanyan between the streets Fulton and Hayes. The wire closest to the trigger and running from it to the bomb, I believe are the streets Broderick, Alpine and Roosevelt Way, combined. The remaining wires have proven difficult to pinpoint exactly. I am, however, of the opinion that the wire running from the trigger to the junction box (that includes the 6 volt battery) is Lyon Street but haven’t decided if it connects to Grove street or what I believe may be an alley along side the hospital. The wire running from the bombs to the junction box (that includes the 6 volt battery) is a combination of Divisadero, Castro and, at very least, one more street. I have the opinion that this particular wire continues on via 17 street and from there it is a mystery.
The 4-20-70 bomb diagram gave me a better understanding of the location for streets than the previous, but not all of them.
From the bomb diagram of 4-20-70, we see that the wire running from the bombs to point B are the streets Divisadero, Castro and the section of Market from Castro to Clayton. Point B is the intersection of Clayton and Corbett between, Clayton and Market. The wire running from Point B to Point A, I believe, is Clayton Street and that it ends at Frederick Street. Point A, I am assuming is the intersection of Frederick and Downey, although, it could be anywhere between Clayton and Downey along Frederick Street. The car battery, I believe, is located at the intersection of Ashbury and Frederick. The wire running from the bombs to the timer, I believe that part of it, is Vega Street. The remainder of this wire is unknown.
The following is an outline of what I just described above:
Red indicates the bombs, blue indicating the timer and green indicating the wires.
