Let's face it, MrX does not fit the typical profile of Zodiac. Most profilers that have profiled zodiac do not place him as a wealthy well to do businessman type. But one profiler in particular states that somebody like MrX could be zodiac, so are we supposed to drop what all the other profilers seem to agree upon?

Reluctantly, I am going to break down and spend $30 and get MrX's hand printed ss application. My gut feeling is it will look nothing like Zodiac's writing, but I guess we will see. Mike R asked me sometime back, if I would clear a Suspect based on one writing samples? My answer is no, but it would go a very long way to clearing him. If it looked nothing like Zodiac's, not in the least, he would get moved way down my list as a suspect. My bet is, that when I get this and post it, it will look nothing like zodiac's writing, but there will still be somebody latching onto him as a suspect, failing to see the obvious

I can see many things that tend to point away from Qvale as Z, like his body mass and size. Morf I don't mean anything disrespectful by anything I have said and I am not, in a sense I suppose, championing Kjell as Zodiac so much as pointing out that his encounter with Armond was not recorded in Armonds report and, in my opinion, had the encounter been with Mechanic John Doe the average man, he would have written him and his encounter into his post event report as a witness. Kjell in my opinion, attracts suspicion to himself by trying to claim he wasn't even in The Richmond District that night.

And you know that Armond talked to MrX that night, how again??

Well either Armond told Mike Butterfield that the dog walker was none other than local import tycoon Kjell Ka-Vah-Lee or Michael B decided to make the entire thing up and when Armond couldn't provide a name for the man with a dog Butterfield decided "Ah ha! That means it was Kjell Qvale."

Why doesn't, or why hasn't Pelissetti himself, knowing the whispers of Qvale all over the grape vine publically refute that and state that despite claims by some, Mr Ka-Vah-Lee was not the Gentleman walking a dog he saw at or near Maple. Armond surely asked the man his name and knows who it is for witness purposes. Why not dispel the myth if it isn't true?

The intital three witnesses across the street who raised the alarm, all named (albeit redacted) and ages recorded along with what they saw the suspect do, where he went etc etc. That standard procedure and is to be expected and similar is seen with Owen, Borges, the Hunters and so on at other scenes. Why is it that when we get to Pacific Heights Don Fouke has a sudden bout of Amnesia and forgets to note that he and Zelms saw a White Male matching the Cabbie's slayer suspect description and turning toward a house and only remembers this after a certain paragraph written by the Zodiac staring out 'PS-2 cops pulled a goof' appeared in print in the Chronicle. Armond see's one man and his dog but won't say publically who he was and so both Officers deliberately neglect to perform standard procedure and state what they saw and where. Why? For some homeless man with a dog in Pacific Heights? No chance. I don't know the definitive reason why both decided to omit vital and crucial details of what they witnessed that night but I have a theory.

I mean if their stories were half consistant aswel it would help.

Moving on, Armond then claims that Don told him that he did, in fact, stop and speak with a White Guy asking him had he seen anyone go by in the past few minutes and the White guy responded by telling Don that yes, a man had just ran into the Presidio.
Next time Armond is asked to restate this event he now declares that Fouke told him he asked the white male had he seen anyone in the area and the white guy replied with a stern 'No.'
Take your time Pelissetti and Fouke, we've only been waiting for *looks at watch*..... 44 years for a consistent and straight reply that has some ring of truth to it.

And finally, I have somewhat found a level of respect for Zodiac because credit where it's due, he tried his upmost to look as suspicious and guilty as humanly possible after locking eyes with Fouke and his Prowl Car. Fouke said he seemed to shuffle oddly, which was probably Zodiac's legs about to give way as his brain processed the visual information currently directly in front of him and he realises "Fk, that's a pig in a prowl car" and in a panic and trying to make himself seem as guilty and suspicious as he could, puts his head down to hide his facial detail, then turns his back to them before scurrying off up steps and may as well have carried a sign saying "PLEASE BELIEVE I LIVE HERE AT THIS HOUSE BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO SPEAK TO YOU."

I'm absolutely confident that if Armond or Don were asked, maybe even pressured into submitting to a polygraph test, I am 99% sure and confident that if asked the question "Is there anything or any detail that you are withholding and/or have not told the public about something or someone you saw that night?" and they said "No" the needle would go off the chart and suggest that one or both are lying about something or not being 100% truthful regarding everything they know or saw

FYI: Spoke to someone from Vallejo LE who feels Mr. X is a great suspect. Also, matching or not matching the Zodiac's handwriting, doesn't really mean much. The Zodiac could of changed his writing, just for his Zodiac correspondence. And if anyone believes in team Zodiac, well someone different could be the letter writer.

I think he's up there in the top 2 or three suspects and although he wasn't even officially declared a person of Interest by LE because they were too busy trying to avoid having the big shot lawyers of Kjell throwing the legal kitchen sink at them if they even dare to use his name even in association with the word 'Witness' that the resulting outcome has been exactly as he anticipated it to be I suppose. Him freely flying below the radar screen of suspects because he has an empire, ranches dotted all around the State, and owns over 100 British Car Dealerships with a combined turnover and Profit that runs into the Multi multi-Millions.

And Kjell being around aged 50 isn't a huge issue that goes against him being Z. The only man who saw Z unmasked in lighting conditions and who himself wasn't more worried about dodging bullets than looking at the Zodiac and his facial features was Don and he estimates, as a trained observer in these kind of matters, that the man he saw along Jackson Street was approx. 35 to 45.

But seriously thought, I have always wondered about the possibility of Kane and Kjell being aquainted as both were involved in the auto-sales industry and one account I read claims Lawrence Kane was a 'former car dealer from, I think it stated it was located in Alameda County, CA. He didn't just sell cars as a car salesman according to this source that I have no idea how accurate or credible is, but He Kane, was a 2nd hand car dealer with his own business it seemed if the claimant is to be believed.
That''s another rather interesting little point too, the British Giant 'Ford' manufactured the Ford Zephyr and Ford Zodiac model of vehicles in the 60's, and Kjell's unique selling point was his vehicles were British design and were imported, as British vehicles would be, from the United Kingdom.

Well, KQ was obviously not being forthcoming at our 2006 meeting. It was the same on several other points that I was able to disprove. He also said that basically he didn't pay any attention to the Z case except if it was in the paper he was reading that day. Now, unless I am mistaken, Z literally scared the shite out of everyone in the Bay Area, especially in the Fall of 1969, when everyone was a potential target, including schoolchildren. Add that to the fact that the last murder literally occurred a couple of blocks from his hone and you have someone who is extremely aloof at the very least.

That's where I kinda envy you and people like you who can ask Qvale a few questions and even if your highly confident he's not telling you the entire truth about the night or even one specific detail you take note mentally and carry on without being directly accusatory. This is where I'd be no good and make no attempt to conceal the fact that don't believe a word of it and that's not just in regards to suspects because in this case seeing a few of San Francisco's finest try their hand at lying through their teeth also. I would advise they leave being devious, lying scum to people who are practised and not too bad at doing it because Don and Armond are terrible liars who can't get settle on one version and think it though to allow for certain obstacle's to be dealt with now before going public and having to.

If Fouke tried to tell me in person "Alex, I swear by the Almighty that the 'Last seen heading North on Maple' comment Vs my unexpected and sudden claim some 38 years after the fact that he went up steps toward a residence and these two comments may look like contradictions but it's all just a big misunderstanding and what happened was......" I'd cut him off there at that point with "Don Behave! The fact that KQ was out and about in PH with or without a dog is a fact, unless Armond Pelissetti has some agenda for saying it was him when it was not. I doubt Pelissetti would want that kind of headache.

Pelissetti wrote KQ's name in a letter he sent to Jim Dean in 2007 or so. He was very cagey at first not wanting to mention the name but we pulled it out of him, first verbally and then in writing. If I need to produce the letter to show to the authorities at some point I will. But I'm sure Pelissetti would tell them himself if pressed. So don't let the cynics get you down by trying to question even basic facts because they don't have a police report in front of them. I've tried for years to get my hands on Pelissetti's report. Let someone else try if they think they can get it. ABC News also said in 2001 that they were unable to place KQ outside of SF at any of his unusual haunts for any of the murders. England is included in his most usual of usual haunts. So right there he is not being forthcoming even without needing Pelissetti.
