Of course, what if Z had aleady established this as a route. Park in a quiet area near the park, head downtown, then get back to car - in a way sounds like a nice way to do things in SF

You described it...too many moving parts.....reviewing his first two murder scenes, it seems he got out of there in a hurry. He used a gun with multiple shots, so there was sound to attract attention. At Berryessa, he used a knife and took extra time by writing on the door of the car. Berryessa showed pre-planning with the rope and hood. At the Paul Stine
/ Presidio Heights murder he obviously used a gun, but nobody heard a shot. He took a considerable amount of time since he was observed by the kids across the street. That's another issue. What prompted the kids to look across the street?...did they hear the shot and not realize it was a shot?. Did Zodiac use a silencer? If the thinking is that Zodiac was getting more brave after after each murder, it could account for some of his actions. I appreciate any input thinking this through.

Obviously Z was able to remember in which area he had shot Paul Stine. Usually it wouldn't be important to know which location (street names) that had happened in detail, he could have mentioned "Presidio" in his letter, too. Instead, Z referred to even two street names. But: The taxi was requested for the crossing Maple/Washington, Stine, however, was killed at Maple/Cherry.

"The S.F. Police could have caught me last night if they had searched the park properly instead of holding road runs with their motorcicles seeing who could make the most noise. The car drivers should have just parked their cars + sat there quietly waiting for me to come out of cover."

I believe that is the person who lived at the address Fouke claimed he saw Zodiac walking towards.

Think he even mentioned the person to be walking four or five steps there. Not necessarily related to Z, but then again: Probation officer..? 'Holding road runs' is not necessarily what you see from behind Julius Kahn's playground wall...so? My theory (and it is a theory only) is that Z could have gone to Bloch's, possibly having been welcome there, watching the motorcycles driving around, searching for him. Opposite, he said that the cops should have better waited for him to come out...dunnnu.

Yes, I believe Fouke said he turned to go up the steps there but Fouke did not see him enter the residence, so it was possibly an attempt at a fake out by the guy if it was Zodiac.

Yes, it seems he must have hid out in the area somewhere but it seems the dogs would have found him if he were stationary. And surely he had a lot of blood on his clothing which would have been noticed if he had went to someone he knew's home.
