I know Gaikowski lived on Bush ST in SF. He lived in the 2700 range of that street if I recall correctly. Can anybody tell me how far by car,or foot, that is from the closest estimate of where Zodiac was picked up by Stine, and also how close that location would be to the 800 block of Bush st? Thanks

From google maps:

2700 Bush St. - Mason & Geary= 1.9 miles, 6 minutes by car, 21 minutes by public transportation.

800 Bush St.- Mason & Geary= 0.2 miles, 1 minute by car, 3 minute walk.

2700 Bush St.- 800 Bush St.= 2.2 miles, 7 minutes by car, 22 minutes by public transportation.

The Bush Street address was 2377 Bush and was where the Good Times Commune was located. The staff of the paper worked and lived there.

A Google map showing the distance between the two addresses.

Where Z was picked up or dropped off, morf? I'll let Seagull do the mapping work.

Here's the map for the distance between Mason and Geary and the 2377 Bush St. address. Surprisingly very similar to the other map I just posted!

The 800 block is what I was more interested in, and as I thought, it was very close to where Zodiac hailed the cab....thanks for the help :)

I just double checked when the Good Times commune and paper moved to Bush St and it wasn't until Jan. 1, 1970. The paper was at 1550 Howard when Stine was killed. I do not know where Gaik was living when Stine was killed or if the commune lived at the Howard St address.

Wow, that would seem to be a back breaker to any Gaikowski supporters that would try to use that location to connect Gaik to the Stine murder scene.
