I'm looking for suggestions. My POI has a very distinctive voice. I have an audio recording of him. I have seen that Bryan Hartnell said he will never forget the voice if his assailant. So, does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get Bryan Hartnell to review my recording? Call law enfircement? Send it to him unsolicited? Something else? I appreciate any suggestions.

First, imo, you should receive consent regarding that person indeed being a suspect. Just a strange voice doesn't make someone suspicious and I guess BH would not appreciate to be 'bothered' with something unsubstantial, my four cents.

I'm guessing many people have contacted Hartnell asking him to listen to voice recordings over the past 49 years. You'll probably need to make a convincing case that you have a strong POI.

I have been told that he would not respond and does not like to be bothered about this case anymore. Maybe he would talk to Morf or someone in LE, but it sounds like a long shot getting any type of cooperation from him. But you never know I guess if you figured out his email address and just sent it to him?? That's a tough one.

I personally think it would be rude to track down his contact info and send him an unsolicited recording. I doubt he would appreciate an unexpected reminder of the most traumatic event in his life, especially if it really is the Zodiac’s voice.

If it were NOT the Zodiac then I imagine it would be worse. I mean, if it IS Z then the case would be solved, right? I KNOW whose voice I'd be sending. It seems to me that solving the case would bring some level of comfort.

I have not made any effort to contact Hartnell, however. I feel strongly that I am correct, but I don't want to torment the man if I'm wrong.

Any chance you could upload the recording somewhere so forum users could hear it? No need to include a name.
