Richard Grinell wrote:In the 1969 DOJ report it states "Subsequent to September 27th 1969 481 suspects have been eliminated as a result of investigation, handprinting and latent print examinations compared with latents relative to the Napa County and San Francisco homicides."
... You can only exclude suspects from the October 11th 1969 fingerprints, so why include the previous Napa crime, unless they had a match from the taxicab to either the Napa payphone or Karmann Ghia. This could then certainly eliminate suspects as the killer.

This from the final paragraph of the later DOJ "Special Report" seems to indicate they have no reliable matching prints from multiple scenes/letters? Hence the importance they place on "handprinting".

I believe it was 1971. It should be listed with year date in the bibliography/notes of a Z book or two you might have. I'm sure it was in the yellowbook. Anyone?

According to Tom, at Zodiackiller.com, the pert chart was prepared for the DOJ Special Report in 1971. So it would appear the entire DOJ report was 1971.

Not sure if I am posting this pic properly but its from the FBI report.

SAC Sacremento Feb 21,1974

"Comparable areas of unidentified latent prints previously reported on items from different crime scenes, as well as latent prints on different envelops and letters, were compared with each other, but no identification effected."

Not sure who you interpret it, but it sort of sounds like none of the prints match each other....

Is there conclusive evidence that Zodiac did not wear gloves? There is definitely suggestions. The blooded taxi prints likely to be from the killer, the expanded testimony from the Robbins kids where they describe him setting Stine upright, Zodiac's dubious claim about using airplane glue on his fingertips, palm prints on letters... Those are all good reasons but perhaps not conclusive. I wonder how certain they were that the Napa car door prints were donated by the message writer.
