Just my thoughts Tahoe. I just don't see why he would lie. All he gets is embarrassment and shame. No accolades or limelight. And as far as her description copying Brian ' s , if they're seeing the same guy it should.

If the man did wear regular glasses – why did he attach the clip-ons to the fabric of the hood?

Would this have been preferable to simply attaching them to his regular glasses - which is what you normally do?

Genuine question. Perhaps there's some logic to it.

He did though. He made stuff up that didn't happen. It's in his own words. I don't mind your thoughts. :) But if one believes Collins and that Cecelia was the one behind the composite, then she did not describe a man with glasses.

How does that work for people who believe Collins?

*

EDIT: Just to add. Collins had two choices in how to respond to that question from the interviewer.

1) He made it all up
2) He didn't think it was important.

What else is there to say? I can see why he would choose the latter, but if he went to such extent with Cecelia--why if it didn't matter?

When I was talking about the report being like Bryan's I was talking about the questioning approach. "I'm this tall, how tall do you think he was"....yes, could be simple cop tactics, but when you consider all the other bs....just something too convenient about it, imo.

Well...yes!

But the question is why attach your shades to the fabric (which is what Z did – Bryan noticed this, he made special note of it) and not to your glasses? If he had glasses, why not attach the shades to the glasses? Seems like a simpler solution.

On the other hand, if he didn't have any glasses – then he had to attach his shades to the fabric.

The only explanation I can think of for this is that perhaps Zodiac realized that parts of his face could be seen through the eye holes, or maybe it was one wide horizontal eye hole, and he thought if he could more or less block that hole but still see out of the hood there would be less of a chance of the victims seeing very much of his face. Total speculation.

Taking BH's and CS's statements at face value, they're actually describing two different things.

BH: Clip-ons attached to fabric. Pretty sure there were no regular glasses behind the shades.

CS: Attacker wore glasses with clip-ons.

CS never says anything about the man wearing regular glasses in addition to clip-ons (which were attached to the fabric). According to her the clip-ons were attached in the normal fashion, i.e. directly to the regular glasses.

Well – the above simply can't be true, unless we decide that BH was completely mistaken.

Yes - that's a possibility.

Perhaps the eye slit was large enough to afford a view, from certain angles, inside the hood. Attaching the clip-ons in that way would make sense if that was the case.
