Thanks Trav. I don't watch too many Youtubes due to my metered internet service. Regardless of what the thing says, the reports don't say anything about engineer boots which if you look at the images are quite different that what was described at the time in official reports!

Absolutely, I agree. I was just pin pointing exactly where the phrase originated as I knew it wasn't from the reports.

Is the YouTube an off shoot of Kelleher's book of the same name? Kelleher denounced his own book a few years ago, and rightly so IMO.

"This is the Zodiac Speaking" (Zodiac-Fincher Documentary) is quite the interesting video to watch. I think it clearly shows how some of these people's minds have been warped over years of Zodiac books and stories.

What one didn't think was relevant at the time, becomes detailed information years later, or...one recalls something of significance, never before brought to light--before being filmed for a major motion picture...or TV show.

Collins is the prime example. Do you know a statewide "All Points Bulletin" went out after the Lake Berryessa attacks? Even then, Collins didn't offer the "information" he says he gathered from Cecelia in their little chat (in that video). I guess a detailed description of the guy "wasn't important" for an APB. Cecelia didn't give such a description to Mrs. White or Ranger White, who were with her (apparently) until the ambulance arrived. http://www.zodiackiller.com/LBReport8.html Collins himself says (in his detailed report) he arrived around 7:45, got the victims into the ambulance, and then began his investigation. Not once, in his report, did he mention having a conversation with Cecelia, much less the detailed one he describes in that interview. This is the same man who said it was Cecelia who provided info for the LB composite. Simply, not true....as we know, it was the 3 girls.

That I don't know and hadn't considered. The video I linked to is the extra feature on the 2008 'Zodiac' where the various LE officers and survivors were interviewed.

That I don't know and hadn't considered. The video I linked to is the extra feature on the 2008 'Zodiac' where the various LE officers and survivors were interviewed.

Both Kellerher's book and the Zodiac movie were take offs of Graysmith's books so it probably doesn't matter. The ultimate likely source of the engineer boots was Graysmith.

The assertion is that the LB perp is a copycat and not the same person who 2 weeks later was seen at PH.

*I want to try my best to understand this, even though Real-Z was seen wearing the same out of style, very unusual for the time, pleated pants at PH (2 weeks later). Even though LB-CopyCat was into copying many elements from Real-Z, (but the pants would happen in the future) LB-CopyCat just so happened to also be wearing the same out of style, very unusual for the time, pleated pants at LB, and this should be ignored because? This same twisted logic can be used (and sadly is used) with any of the crimes and can achieve the same results.
For example BRS vs PH.

PH-Z had reddish-brown hair, BRS had curly light brown hair. (= different person)
PH-Z wore glasses, BRS wore no glasses (= different person)
PH-Z had no car, BRS had a brown car (= different person)
PH-Z was in one report 40 years old, BRS he was 30 (= different person)

Didn't the "Wide Flange Beam" (engineering) come from Graysmith too? I wonder which one of those guys from the first book was involved in engineering? Was it Marshall? But yes Seagull...Graysmith words have influenced many over the years.
