Photo of Darlene & the Unknown Man

Here is a photo of Darlene with an unknown man.
Photo was found in a distant relatives family photos.
It was taken at a relatives house in San Francisco. Year unknown.
Her relatives do not recognize the man.
Darlene's first husband has said it is definitely not him.
There has been some good discussion of this photo on Toms board
and I thought I would share it here for those who may not be aware of it.

I see that a person over at Tom's claims he identified the unknown man as an Edward R that went to schol with her but dropped out. I have my doubts as to whether or not he has the right guy. The guy he identified is 5ft6,and the guy in the pic with Darlene seems to be a few inches taller than her,and she was 5ft5 according to her autopsy. Also, the guy he identified went to another high school altogether was class of 64,and the ONLY other guys in the USA with that same name, were way too old to have gone to school with Darlene.

I think this guy has incorrectly identified the guy in the pic,and I personally think the guy in the pic is Darlene's former Husband, Jim

I have seen many many theories as to the identity of this male in the picture, everything from Darlene's ex husband to the rather silly theory of it being Bryan Hartnell.

I thought I read somewhere that this has been confirmed as being Darlene's ex husband. I have no way of knowing if there's any truth to this claim as I've never seen Darlene's ex.

If the guy that mentioned him is right, it is good his full name is not mentioned here because he still could be alive today. Morf I agree with you and think it is Jim.

While no doubt there is a likeliness, I have my doubts it is Jim.

The height if of concern. It was reported, while Jim was in the custody of the PD, he was 5'6". Darlene was 5'5".

Jim seemed to have a much more square face, and this man's is more elongated. There was an ear issue to.

That's what I had heard. I'm sure I read that it had been confirmed by someone, maybe Dean Ferrin, but I could be totally wrong about that.

Anyway, this photo has been debated because it's assumed that the unknown man may be Zodiac. For me, the resemblance goes as far as 'Horn Rimmed Glasses'. The young man in the photo clearly isn't the 'Stocky, big guy' described by Michael Mageau, or the 'Stocky, Barrel Chested' man described by Don Fouke.

The guy that was identified by the poster on Tom's site is 5ft6, I know this from a police record he has. The guy in the photo seems to be 5ft8-9

If you see the pictures of Jim that Sandy posted compared to the guy with Darlene. IMO that is Jim but with that said I'm still keeping a open mind somewhat.
