You can't "date" that footprint. "Fresh" could have been a few hours or a few day old. Who knows?

That response addressed something that was in the San Francisco Chronicle of July 6th, 1969 (Page A9) which said "the car door was torn open shortly after they had parked". In correcting it, our boy was trying to give further proof that he was at the scene.
