LHR and the school schedule

So some profilers think of Zodiac as a weekend-and-holiday killer, meaning had a steady job and killed in his free time. With re: the LHR murders, I have this question. was Friday, Dec. 20 the last day of work for Z? Or did he work on Monday Dec. 23 and maybe 1/2 day on the 24th?

And if Friday, Dec. 20 was the last day of work before the Christmas holiday, does that make him a teacher or school district employee? According to the article below by BLJ's friend, that was the last day of school. That's probably true even if he worked in SF schools.

I am curious which major employers in the area gave employees Monday (Dec. 23) off, if any. I would guess that the schools, local govt, Mare Island, Humble Oil and Syar employed a good portion of Vallejo. Which ones had Monday off?

Aside from the schools I think very few employers would have given their employees the day off on Monday the 23rd. Anyone who worked at a retail store was certainly working. The refineries needed to keep up production, Mare Island would have still been building ships, there was a war going on. Most blue collar workers could not afford to take the day off and companies wouldn't have paid them as it wasn't a legal holiday.
