Here's a what if.....

What if the car James Owens saw parked beside the rambler was a red truck?

Anyone ever check out the younger raccoon hunter?

Knows LHR, area. BRS pretty close by.

Lived in Napa (where phone call was placed after LB).

Edit: I found a person by the same name that went to high school in San Francisco about 3 miles from PS crime scene. Would have been the right age. Not sure if it's same guy.

Huhuuh...and I got another question:

Why did Peggie and Homer Your actually stop at the gate of Marshall's ranch at all?

Checking the pipes you wouldn't do there, would you? With the kids in the car, there is no reason to stop for lovers' lane issues..so why did they stop there? No pipes there either..

Also not sure why Homer (who always drives the speed limit and keeps his bullets in his pocket) had his gun laying on the back seat with kids.

Yep. Same Peggy. Bob could be a throwback at the hunter.

No way possible for Connelly(the younger Hunter) to be Zodiac, I don't see it. They left the scene at 11:05-11:10 and went back to Gasser's driving the truck. Connelly would have had to driven to Gasser's home fast as possible, jumped into a car, and raced back to the scene just in time to be at the scene before owen got there. I dont see it, no way that he could do all of that in 4 to 9 minutes.

And Owen described Zodiac's car as a "dark car lacking in chrome"(as generic as possible of course),so there's no way it was a red truck

Oh. I thought Owens said he couldn't identify the vehicle at all. I thought it was someone else who mentioned the dark car lacking chrome. Sorry... I really dislike posting inaccurate information.

No he definitely gave a vague description, very generic

I found the "lacking chrome" phrase in the police report. It's coupled with "not large & not compact" and attributed to no one.

Which is awesome, because neither of those description are mentioned anywhere under witness accounts.

It HAS to be from Owen, he is the ONLY person that saw Zodiac's car(if there was one). He is the only one that could have given any mention of the car. Remember, he said in one statement it was 3-4 ft away from Dave's car,and in the other statement, it was 10 ft apart
