That was an interesting article NIN! I did think that maybe the red side of the boxes were fire call boxes but didn't want to go out on a limb and suggest that. Very cool that they are still in use. Thanks!

You're right Seagull...that box still is on the corner and I mis-identified it as a postal box...I didn't get out of my truck until I got to Jackson and Maple..then also at Jackson and Spruce..I assumed it was a Postal box because of the red white and blue paint on it..I should have gotten out of my truck at Washington and Cherry and took a closer look..but declined as I thought I might upset some of the people who lived nearby..this was in broad daylight and some people that lived in the area were unloading their kids from school...I did notice some filming going on near Jackson and Cherry..but the crew declined to tell me under orders from higher ups..hmmmmm

A lot of the old criss cross directories for most city's can be found on line. They are listed under the name of Polk's or Haines city directory.
I find it interesting that the name at 3799 Washington ( Where the shooting took place) showed Mignon Augsbury as still living there ,when in fact she had died and it was her gardener and his family who were there in 1969. His name was Victor Schiantarelli, interestingly, his brother William was living at 222 Maple. I along with Ed N. investigated who was actually living there, do the misinformation that Robt Hunter was at that address. We proved he was not, Hunter was living on Lyon st. I will see if they had a child age 8 at that time , unless Seagull or TF finds it first ?

Schiantarelli had a son who was born in Jan. 1963. That's real close age wise because I'm not sure that we know when exactly the eight year old spoke with LE. Were it after the first of the year it would be very close. Good call Sandy!!

Greg, please check the threads that can help you to do this. I think most are using photo bucket ?

For anyone who can help him with this, Greg has many pictures that would be of interest to all of us.

If you are linking to the image be sure to highlight the link address after you have pasted it into your post and then click on the [img] button at the top along the top of the posting box.

I think doranchak posted instruction on this recently but I couldn't find the post.

I fear though, given the image that is presently there, you have chosen an image from a site that doesn't allow you to 'hotlink'. Your option then is to download the image first then upload here. Instructions for that here http://zodiackillersite.com/viewtopic.p ... t=4&p=4#p4 if you need them.
