I'll give you a couple of weeks to turn it on its head then upload a solution.

Hi,

welcome to the board..some things I do agree, some I can't follow yet (the red ones). Z could have lived in SF or Antioch or Sacramento or Mount Diablo etc..

Nevertheless, I'd add some more criteria.

- possibly radio operator
- hiking, possibly scouting guy with knowledge in field navigation
- driver of a light tan to white Chevrolet or Mercury with green lighted instruments
- stocky with light protruding belly
- shoe size 10.5, Wingwalkers
- occasional or regular smoker
- used to draw sometimes, at least owned felt pen and bought jolly joker post cards
- had knowledge or access to sewing works
- heavily rimmed glasses with black frame, possibly sometimes with elastic band
- limped, possibly was not able to run at all, duck-style
- possibly frequented South Lake Tahoe, Paradice motel
- possibly had access to 'Good Times' or other underground newspapers and/or lawyers of the SF Chronicle/Hearst family
- owned a blue windbreaker

Hey QT,

My reasoning behind the comments in red:
Unmarked in 1970, - Two reasons 1. what zodiac did takes privacy, something never to be shared. 2) it is the fixation on the girls, like Shipman murdered people who were like his mother, zodiac goes for couples and takes pleasure for revenging on the girls. He had not resolved his hang ups.

Married, died or jailed: He seemed to just stop, why. Of course it is possible he changed his mo to make them look like accidents as promised. Chilling.

Local to Vallejo - extrapolated using the journey to crime theory,

That his first name was Richard was from Mike Mageau's interview for documentary ofcourse memories change over time and credibility is a factor but primae facie this is what an eye witness has said.

low or medium income - the car, the clothes, the homemade nature of some of the objects, nothing points to zodiac been rich.

All just theory really though, I would love to be proven right or wrong, either would be fine. Accepted these parts are weaker than saying he was a white male.

I like yours, why a radio operator? Why a hiker? Why limped?

Sorry I missed this thread. I really must pay more attention!

Welcome Igog - I suspect that's not your real name...
(God will be my judge, perhaps.) ;)

How did you come up with the name, "Richard"? And, by the way, welcome to the site!

Hi Dag, thanks for the welcome. ?Richard is from an interview of the only witness we know to have seen zodiacs face, and what he states during an interview for a documentary. Accepted, there is a legnth of time between the interview and the incident but giving the appropriate weight to witness statements, and as MM is the only person confirmed to have seen Zodiac's face and survived I feel anything he says/states is noteworthy evidence. Not saying Zodiacs name is Richard, and there is a chance MM could be mistaken but a noteworthy point.

I am still pinning my optimistic hopes on DNA profiling to solve this one at the end of the day.
