Mageau may not have been accurate on the mans age, but the people who spoke to him on the phone said he sounded to be in his thirties. I think we can't know for sure but whether tarbox did speak with zodiac I don't think we'll know unless their is a way to get the guys name and even then it may not be his real name, just a fake name he gave or a stolen identity.

I don't recall an age given as far as the phone calls. I remember mature and montone, and young sounding like a student. Two very different descriptions of voice.

Nancy slover said he sounded like he was in his mid thirties. I don't recall David slaight of napa police department, saying anything descriptive like that

I was going by recollection of police reports. It was Hartnell who mentioned he sounded like a student, but Officer Slaight wrote: "...young sounding, possibly in his early twenties".

Your use of "people" threw me. Two very different descriptions, imo. While Nancy said it sounded mature (and was even disturbed by the voice of Richard Gaikowski), others said he sounded young--not something you would take away from R.G.'s voice...at all.

Understood. I do wonder if the zodiac was younger like a student or in his thirties or even forty or older
