Hello to you all glad to be here,

Some facts about me.

I'm in my thirties and work in film and television production in Sweden. As a true crime and mysteries buff, the Zodiac case naturally became an interest some time after the release of the Fincher film.

Some other cases which I have spent much time researching are the assassination of Sweden's Prime Minister Olof Palme (1986) and the Kennedy Assassination.
In the mystery section, I generally find missing people mysteries the most intriguing. At the moment the Maura Murray and Madeleine McCann cases are both high up on my list of interest.

When it comes to conspiracy theories, I'm generally against them, as the majority of them are based in false facts.

I believe:

-The Apollo program was real (including A11).
-John F. Kennedy was assassinated by LHO.
-9/11 was not an inside job.
-Elvis, Michael Jackson and Prince are all, sadly, dead.

When it comes to the Zodiac case I still have a LOT of reading to do. To this day I have only read Graysmith's book, but I'm planning on buying 'This is the Zodiac Speaking' shortly.

I do not have a "favorite suspect" or anything like that.

I'm also one of very few swedish people who is into baseball, SF Giants fan. (SF is my fav US City)

I hope for some interesting discussions regarding the Zodiac case.

/O

What makes you think JFK was killed by Oswald, if you don't mind me asking?

I can hear the other members here under their breath saying "oh boy."

Well, mainly because there are a plethora of evidence against him. None whatsoever pointing to any conspiracy. (Please, don't say HSCA, it has been covered  )

(I was once actually a big Conspiracy-believer in the JFK case, based mainly on bad books and Stone's movie. Then I studied in school and read some better books and got an entirely new view on the case.)

I'll go so far as to leave LHO's "inspiration" for the crime a bit open. There might have been outside influences. But as far as the crime goes, he did it himself.

Why would people be saying "oh boy"? Because of my viewpoint or just the discussion as such? :)

"Oh boy" because of the potential debate haha. I respect your opinion, but LHO was a moron and the perfect fall guy. There is no way he could have pulled it off by himself. Maybe he was in that window and fired shots, maybe not. But he was not a good marksman and his crappy gun couldn't fire all those shots that fast.

Perhaps I should add: Because of my profession and general interest in film and photography, I really enjoy to study photographs/films in any case I delve into.

Hello Oculus! Welcome. And let me just say...I believe what you believe.

Nice to have someone here from Sweden. You write in English very well. My (longtime) Brother-in-Law is Swedish and I know a lot of his Swedish family. Hope to go there one day. They are good people and I'm sure I would like everyone I met there. Always so friendly! :)
