New to the board. Interested in the cases because with all the information we have these days the idea that something (someone) is just beyond our reach is intriguing.

Don't have a particular person of interest I believe is the killer.

I'm interested in the stamps Zodiac used. It's an arcane interest but I believe you can use the stamps to begin to validate which letters were authentic and tell something about his travel patterns and perhaps even more than that.

All that said, I enjoy reading other people's posts and will probably comment from time to time.

Quicktrader: I'll have to look for that one. Sounds like the white whale of Zodiac stamps. I will give you one piece of Zodiac stamp trivia. The stamp on Jarive's avatar is the view on the Apollo 8 stamp with the inscription "In the beginning ...". That stamp broke a pattern of stamps the Zodiac used and I think it was for a reason. The letter it was attached to went to Paul Avery, who had connected Zodiac to the Cheryl Bates murder. Apollo 8 launched on the morning of December 21, 1968. The Faraday-Jensen murders look place the night of December 20, 1968. So, you might suspect the Zodiac was having an inside joke on Avery by proclaiming his first murder was not Bates, but Faraday and Jensen (in the beginning...). I think otherwise you can tell which Zodiac letters from that period were authentic by his use of the six cent Roosevelt stamp and one cent Jefferson stamps which were issued in the same book. The only deviation I've seen during the peak period of his activity was the Apollo 8 stamp. I think it was also significant if he stuck almost exclusively to one book of stamps (the total of all his sixes and ones runs, if I am remembering correctly, right around one book's worth). It was probably paranoia in terms of being concerned with going to the post office to buy a particular stamp and being recognized. That's being unrealistically cautious, but often criminals are excessively careful about the letters they send, which includes using excessive postage. If he was married (and I doubt that), it could also be he didn't want to have to account for his using up the family stamps and instead kept his book to himself. It might also be he had some fixation on Roosevelt or served on the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt. But that's just idle speculation on my part.

The Apollo stamp has significant meaning as it points to the suspects general area location. I have a suspect that carried a post office box in Nassau Bay Texas, Home of the Manned Spacecraft Center. The Nassau Bay city post office also has a PO box number that appears on the 1990 Eureka card to the San Francisco Chronicle

The neighboring city of Webster Texas has a PO box also has a P.O. box that matches except for my suspect currently has a box there also, within 6 ft of the Zodiac numbered box.

Zodiac has a post office connection, My suspect's ex wife worked at the United State post office... in the Nasa area btw. Nasa and these post office boxes are within 5 miles of the League City killing fields and I-45 murders. Those murders began around 1971. My suspect arrived in the area about that time after spending a stint in the US army with time spent in guess where? The San Francisco bay area ( Presidio and letterman hospital) from 1968 to late 1969 ( except for 7 mos he was in Vietnam) and in early 1970 and then as a civilian possibly working as security officer Lake Tahoe Nevada area. There I believe he met George Victor Jonasson who WAS a security officer at the Sahara Hotel in Lake Tahoe. George was working the night shift the night Nurse, Donna Lass was last seen or heard of. Donna was claimed to be Zodiac Victim by the Peeking thru the Pines Postcard sent to SFC in 1971. George was a actual suspect in her disappearance. George Moved to guess where? Nassau Bay TEXAS area sometime around 1973. George' Jonasson was documented in the Houston area as he was arrested and booked by the Houston Police dept for DWI in 1974. George died in 2009. I believe George moved to the Clear lake area Nassau Bay, League City area to be with his dark friend, my suspect, who is still alive today.

Ironically when George died his address was on Gemini Street..a street that borders the NASA installation and named after the NASA Gemini series of 2 man space flights.. and Gemini is a ZODIAC sign. There is also a possibility these 2 suspects has a third accomplice to help with feeding and security of the girls they kept alive before they killed them..The Apollo stamp indicate 3 man missions, Thus a indication and clue of a third man in this killing spree. I'll explain further why I think there may be 3 involved in the League city killing fields.

At least one of the unknown Jane doe victims possibly 2 in the killing field murders had evidence of broken ribs that had been found during autopsy. The time of when the victims disappeared to when they were found was over many months, 18 or so. I cringe at the thought but the evidence of healing ribs may indicate that killers kept the girls alive and abused and beat the girls or the ribs would not have began healing. Think about it, to hide a girl and go about your life is impossible as it takes a lot of manning security of the victim's location. A person would have to have help. I think the girls were possibly drugged and kept alive to be used as sex slaves to the killer or killers.

So I agree the Apollo NASA stamp is a clue.. a big clue!

and very Interesting Ghost of the Zodiac, have anything else connecting your suspect(s) ? if you can share, a solution for the Z13?, anything linking the letters?

I'm not a believer in TEAM Zodiac. I think it'd be too hard to cover all your tracks, and your buddies' too etc. etc.. one would make a mistake somewhere.

Then how do you all trust each other?
