Who was the Zodiac?

I have seen film 3 times (Sherlock Holmes in 20th Century) and read Graysmith's book. Ready to lynch Leigh (or his corpse) and I start to see posts that contradict Graysmith. The DNA easy to explain (contamination) and an 80 year old lawyer saying someone confessed to him 40 years earlier?...c'mom.

Chances are whoever he was , he is dead now. Still a great film. Back then, before Gacy, Columbine, 9/11, the SF Zebra killings (Nation of Islam), etc. this case was huge and Graysmith's book and film capture those times so well (about a decade before I was conscious- still a wise-arse street urchin in northern NJ).

Today I am a transpo engineer in Metro DC/Balto, father, grandfather but I have been to the City twice and like Quebec, it has got to be one of the top 2 North American cities for appearance, class, etc. (however I had been living in Chicago prior to my first visit to the City- almost diametric opposite of the City).

So who was the Zodiac- I do not pretend to know.

Welcome to the forum. ALA being the Zodiac was one of the first things I heard when I started this journey. Didn't take very long to dispel that 'certainty' or at least cast very serious doubt on it. Still, it is what it is and he's certainly part of the whole drama and still a suspect. Plenty of stuff to wade through. Decades worth in fact.
