LET ME (RE-INTRODUCE) MYSELF

Hello everyone:

Many of you may or may not remember me. I am Abner, aka "Trainmaster." I know there are minimum posting requirements, but Morf has been so kind and kept me aboard, because of my health problems.

This is not easy to say, but I have been diagnosed with dementia. There are lots of days I do not remember anything, let alone the day or date or much of anything else. That is why you have not heard from me.
When I am like that, to say "Zodiac," I might ask "what is Zodiac?" Of course, I can not write on days like that.

The last two days have been better. Let me recall with you what I used to do.

For years, I was a Federal Investigator with the Naval Investigation Services. That was years ago.
It is terrible, for what I used to do, but these days I remember very little. If I make a mistake, I would appreciate it if someone would correct it. Today, I am beginning to remember some of the "Z" victims and some details.

I used to be very informed on the subject. To be honest, it would not help me to read the posts, because I will just forget them on my bad days. But, I want to participate and will, when able. To let you know how bad the dementia is, I almost set our house on fire! I was alone, put something on the stove, and forgot about it. The alarm system smoke alarm saved our house! From then on, no cooking - just microwave.

Thank you all for your understanding, and I will post when I can add something that makes sense, but I remember this group is the polite one and I thank each and every one of you for your understanding,
