Mr Lowe, Thank you all for the welcome. The 58351 box is also in Webster Tx. Actually on the same wall at the Post Office as my suspect's box, about 2 ft away. Today I found more clues on the zodiac connection. How about a metal sign in front of my suspect's location cut out of plate metal showing the the moon and planets..

Traveller, Operational practice querie.. I actually have visited the Paul Stine Murder location in San Francisco. I walked into the Presidio and the park area at 10 at night. I do not believe the original composite is the Zodiac. and here is why.. You see If I had just killed a guy by shooting him in the head I would have blood splatter on me. In addition, I had just taken the victims wallet, car keys and a piece of his bloody shirt..Do you think I would risk contact with a patrol officer. no! Do you think a patrol officer would NOT notice blood and sweat on a guy? no again. I think the Zodiac hid when he saw the police cruiser and watched the contact between the police and the white male suspect. He used this in his Chronicle letter the following day. I believe this is one of the many reasons the case is unsolved. It started off with a wrong suspect ID that was given by the patrol officers and as far as the kids ID..Remember when you and your buddies were 8 years old? growns ups looked much larger than they actually were.

Tahoe27 wrote:Yes mr lowe, and it isn't a box number either. I too don't know how that might affect things for you ghost.
Also, you mentioned 40 women? No men at all?
It wouldn't surprise me at all if Jonasson was involved in Donna's death, but it would very much surprise me if he was Zodiac.
Welcome...it will be interesting to see how your detective skills are played out here.
Help me out Tahoe. What numbers? What do you think the numbers are?

Hi bmichelle--
The numbers on the keys are not the numbers to whatever the box #'s are.
58351 on one of the keys (for example) would not have been the actual PO Box number on the door of the box.
I have two PO Box keys to two separate post offices. They look identical to those in the Eureka card. The identification numbers can be used by the post office to locate who the owner is, but even that wasn't an easy task according to the postal workers.
They do not put the box numbers on the keys for good reason.

The numbers on the keys are coded for security reasons. If the keys are lost one cannot go straight to the box and steal the mail..
Only the post office can unlock the numbers on the keys as they have the program to cross reference the keys to box.

bichelle.
In my opinion, the zodiac found some numbered keys that had reference. He did send them as a clue for a reason. He could have had the keys stamped also.
who knows.. Zodiac did have a post office interest as he also sent an earlier message about zip codes in 74..2 pieces of mail with post office clues..
Again, I believe Zodiac had a real post office connection.

I agree with you in part about the keys. I think he may have sent them in as a clue but at the same time he may have been creating a false clue-to misdirect the investigation.

Welcome to the board, TGOZ. It can get animated at times - but always interesting.
