This case is fascinating. The hook for me is the hope that we will live to see it solved. The information that has been gathered over time is robust; I imagine that LE quite probably had the real killer in for questioning at some point along the line, but weren't able to zero in.
I lived for some time in San Francisco, Oakland, and Berkeley (albeit many years after the fact), so I find myself able to picture the environment of the scenes of these crimes. There are suspects I gravitate to more than others, but my mind is very open to the ideas of all. Thank you for hosting this forum, and for allowing me to participate.

Glad to have you here, Been a long time, since '69 Z sleuth, I was a senior in HS in the South Bay Area when Z did his Bay Area thing....Seems the more I know the less certain I am who Z was. Have my own POI's, but not locked in to any one of them. So look forward to hearing from you...
