I am a retired federal investigator with over 32 years of criminal and counterintelligence investigation experience with the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations (OSI) and the U.S Department of Energy’s Office of Counterintelligence. My interest in the Zodiac mystery stems from the fact I was raised in San Bernardino (Berdoo), CA, which is a city directly adjacent to the communities where both Shepard and Bates were raised and attended school. Berdoo was also Kathleen Johns’ and Patricia Hautz’s home town. I attended high school with ZODE (MLZ) and Patricia Hautz.
In 2007, I made my first post on Tom Voigt’s web site titled, “A Real Zodiac Unmasked with Strong Connections to Cheri Jo Bates”. That post centered on my first-hand knowledge and observations of Zode and it detailed solid facts as to why he merited attention as a strong potential suspect in the Bates, Shepard, and Johns investigations.
As a result of being diagnosed in 2007 with a life threatening disease (Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF), which has an average 3-5 year life expectancy), it’s very difficult for me, energy wise, to participate on Morf’s board as much as I would like. This is because in addition to the severe breathing difficulties and depleted energy issues associated with IPF, I have also been diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension (PH). The PH exacerbates my battle with IPF because just about any kind of stress, anxiety, pressures/excitement causes my heart to go crazy due to the increased blood pressure in my pulmonary artery and veins. When this happens, I am almost literally brought to my knees because of debilitating dizziness and a struggle to breath, and this is even while on oxygen which I use 24/7. This past September I experienced a set-back in my health situation and am now going through an aggressive medical health assessment to determine if I am a good candidate for a lung transplant. While I dealing with these current life challenges, I am grateful for Morf’s understanding and support and especially for his willingness to allow me to stay abreast of progress being made by the many researchers and contributors that seek to unravel the incredible Z mystery. I have appreciated watching Morf’s site grow and seeing all he and his members have been able to accomplish. Katana9Q
