Do I have to? I do? Well, OK then. I am entropy although some of you might know me by other names. I usually don't share stuff about myself in Z world but my day job is supervising a mental health Crisis Intervention program in Pennsylvania. I have degrees in Philosophy and Psychology... and went back to school for a Meteorology degree in case anyone needs to know which way the wind blows. I got interested in the BTK case after my divorce in 2003, which eventually led me to an interest in Zodiac (the BTK case, not the divorce). I have two great kids who are now teenagers.

I do have a long-standing person of interest who died in 2008 (he was nice enough to pose for my avatar there in 1966) but I've never discussed him here in detail. Maybe someday... I do try to keep an open mind though and am very willing to explore other's suspect ideas. I'm generally most interested in analyzing Z letters and Z psychology but have also thrown in a few cents of opinion on the ciphers and other topics. I have some strong opinions about certain topics (like the @*#ing desktop poem) but usually try to be polite in expressing them. I had the good fortune of visiting San Francisco for the first time in 2010 and fell in love with the city. My girlfriend couldn't figure out why I knew my way around so easily. Would definitely love to visit again.

It's nice to read the introductions of infrequent posters and lurkers. Hopefully it will encourage folks to actively participate. Welcome all...

Always appreciate a fellow East Coaster

I've decided it's time to retire from the crime fighting business to pursue other interests.

Many thanks to morf and the great mods here for their dedication and to the many good friends I've met and exchanged ideas with over the years. 'Tis really a noble pursuit, IMHO, even if it leads to nothing in the end.

Thank you for your companionship on our slightly twisted hobbits journey. You know where we are if you need us, even if it's just for advice on transitioning back into normal life. The simple things that others take for granted like - how does food work? and daylight, is it dangerous?

Enjoy your retirement and don't worry if Sod's law suddenly applies. On average it does anyway every few months in Z-land, or at least people think it has.

Steve, wow, sorry to see you go. I know this case can burn people out, etc. I appreciate your efforts,ideas, and input over the years,on this(and other cases). If you ever decide to come back,I will leave your account open. Also, you have my email so, drop me a line! Enjoy retirement.

By the way, this feels like in the movie, Zodiac, when Bill Armstrong tells Toschi he's transferring out of homicide, we are losing a true asset!

I never knew that entropy == Deoxys but whichever name you used, I have always respected your insights and opinions, especially in cipher matters.

Hope you come back to visit now and again, your posts and ideas have always been appreciated by me.
