Hi I am new at this site and was born and raised in Vallejo California and went to school and was aquainted with Betty Lou Jensen. She came to my (parents) house once and had dinner with us. I think I was in the 8th grade at the time. The stranges thing is I also knew another victims brother of the Z, and his name is Leo S. . We also knew each other. This was getting really close to home knowing some of the victims/relatives. I know of one person that was in our crowd his name was Leroy M. who is now deceased who was a close friend . We would always hitch to Lake Berryessa during those times and he would always kid about himself being the Zodiac. We once walked on the east side of the Lake and he took me to an abandoned small houseboat with a huge Zodiac sign painted on the side in red. Leroy looked at me and said, "I am The Zodiac". At the time I blew it off, but became very suspicious of him. Another person who I thought was the Zodiac was another friends Father who looked exactly like the drawing of the Zodiac. He was a strange man and had a hot temper. He also as passed away. I am going through this quickly and will be more detailed later but I do want to see what kind of answers and questions are posted. I am very serious in finding out who the Zodiac really was (IS).

Hi Zebra, I see that you made it, welcome we are really happy to have you here. YAY another person from Vallejo who understands how Vallejo worked and the people that lived there at the time. I find your story about Leo & Leroy M ________, very interesting. Myself I think it could very well be a local guy, and or a game between 2 or even more people. The Zodiac sign painted on the side of a houseboat at LB is very interesting. I look forward to input in this case.

For some reason, we have yet to come to a consensus regarding Zodiac's identity.

well in fact it sounds to be good news that you are here.

If your experience is true, then Z might have had a hut sort of opposite the LB scene. Regarding the 'Leroy M.', I at least can't place his name into the 'my name is cipher'..although not necessarily important, imo there is no match possible at least without anagramming etc.

Maybe the friend of yours who had claimed to be the Zodiac was a partner in crime or just prowling around...with or without any further knowledge...the height and wheight of a suspect is sort of a good criteria to rule somebody out, btw. (5'9''-6'2'', stocky, belly protruding). Can you still remember where that hut had been exactly and if it still does exist?

The other guy you had mentioned, the one who looked like the sketch, is already dead..you can post his name now, imo. So I'd do a check with the 'my name is cipher', or if anybody else is focussing on this guy, too.

That Leo S. guy..talking about Leo Suennen, brother of Darlene, in fact somehow connects you to both cases. Please be aware that information you know might therefore be relevant for the case - welcome to the board.
