Possible Riverside Photos of Ross

Posted this elsewhere but would like to post here in front of the sharp eyes of this community.

1964-65 course catalogue for RCC. Pg 11-12. It’s hard to say for sure but white shirt next to the tree in the photo. I’m not sure it’s significant even if it is Ross but I’ve looked a lot at this compared to other Ross photos and I’d say it’s him

This one is more interesting. It’s so far away it’s impossible to say for sure.

Pg 41 on the 1966 yearbook (pdf page is 45 for me). In the back of the phots is a guy with glasses sitting down appearing to be writing. Ross sitting there would fit well with the Bailey letter talking about how he hung out all of the time In the quad. I spent a lot of time comparing this to the Ross Orator’s photo and there is a lot of similarity to me although I gotta admit I’m unsure. Regardless of whether that’s Ross, that guy has a general zodiac composite look and size and I’m pretty sure has a black wristband watch on. I’m working with a scanned image - anyone have a physical copy (or access to a physical copy of the RCC catalogue)? You might be able to get a better look or scan of it.

The first one looks more like him but i'm not sure. Good find though. How did you come across Ross as a suspect?

The History channel introduced me but this site is what blew me away. Applause to the amount of real research conducted by the people here.

I’m not sure Ross is the guy but his general background is something I have some expertise in so I’m drawn to him as a suspect. There is a lot about him even from the limited info on him that we have that from my experience base sent up gigantic red flags.

The second pic is hard but I should also note - that guy is BIG. Check his profile compared to the others in the photo. He does not have the usual body of a college freshman or sophomore (I work on a college campus and you don’t see many people that size and build even at a 4 year) and I think Riverside was mostly a two year college at that point. Ross was described to be borderline chubby but carry it like he was solid and he would have been mid 20s in this photo. Regardless of if it’s Ross, if CJB was killed by Zodiac (and it appears she was killed by someone physically dominating) body size and shape could help narrow the list of suspects.

Just an observation, of the five guys in the photo they are all wearing jackets except for the one that looks like Ross.

That’s a good observation. Hadn’t caught that. What do you suppose the lump is in the left leg? It’s looks to be more than just something in his pocket. At first I thought they were dress slacks but the closer I look they seem different. Any ideas?

It's hard to tell, the photo is too grainy to discern details.

That photo was taken in the Quad courtyard very near the entrance to the library, since Ross was an employee
of the library I think that would increase the odds that the man in the photo is Ross.

My reasoning is that Ross stepped out of the library briefly without his jacket to get in the photo.

Couple more notes. Both guys are wearing white collared shirts (the second photo he’s got a jacket on over). In two known pics of Ross he has the same. The first, more clear pic is the almost exact set up of the known Ross looking up photo.

The hair is dark in the second but check Ross’s Orator photo - his hair photographs dark sometimes. Still obviously not sure about the second pic though.

I can't say for sure if the guy on the bench is Ross or not. His hairline looks like it possibly could be him. It looks like he could have glasses. The fact he's by himself could indicate a chance it's Ross. Just no way to say for sure. He certainly looks tall, and broad chested & shouldered
