One of the primary requirements for a Zodiac suspect to be seriously considered is a reliable automobile. Whomever perpetrated the Farraday/Jensen, Ferrin/Mageau and Shepherd/Hartnell attacks owned or had access to a car. Especially in the case of Ross Sullivan, who lived 100 miles from these crimes scenes, he would have needed an automobile. Do we have any evidence that Sullivan had access to or ownership of a vehicle? Do we have a copy of his driver's license anywhere? I want to believe that Sullivan is our man but from what we know of him, he doesn't seem like the kind of guy who would own his own car or drive much. His schizophrenia, time spent in an asylum and low-paid employment seem like he wouldn't have the stability or income to be a car owner. Do we have evidence that Sullivan owned a car or even drove? He drove when he lived in Riverside. At least as late as 1967 he drove. We don't know about when he moved up north.

Katz, who had been dead on with his info about Ross said he drove a VW bug at RCC. The librarian said he drove a motorcycle.

In CA in the late 1960's, it would not be a stretch for someone to own a car.

Ok, Ross owned a VW and a motorcycle. That'd rule out Ross as a major suspect.

Don't know if this is true but just heard the other day somewhere that the DMV is public records. If that true, where do you go to access them a courthouse online etc ? If true might be able to find out if Ross had a drivers license if there records go back that far.
