That has been my thinking. Z admitted to driving a brown car at BRS. A few weeks later, he was seen driving a 1966 Impala (with mismatched tires). New car but can't afford a set of tires? Dead dads car would explain that.

Good point about Ross possibly receiving his dead Dad's car. Would Ross' Dad's will be a public record document that is now searchable online? If so, perhaps Dad's will lists the make and model of car as part of the inventory of estate assets. Wouldn't it be interesting if Dad owned an Impala? Has anyone ever searched for the will?

Don't know how you could tell that by looking at tire tracks unless the axle width was too narrow. If that's the case a VW would be a likely suspect.

Based on the police reports, the wheel track had to be around 56".

But we don't know what Ross drove, so it's all speculation.
